The Bed & Breakfast StradaNuova opens its doors in March 2008, just a few weeks before one of the most important events in the town of Scicli takes place:U'Gioia, the "Festa dell'Uomo Vivo" (Festival of the Living Man), the statue of the Risen Christ protagonist of the annual Easter procession. This event inspires our mission of tradition and continuity in regard to the local history and the ancient customs of this area of Sicily. The B&B StradaNuova is located in a typical housing of Scicli, it is situated in one of the most characteristic streets of the town: Corso Umberto, also known by the locals as 'a Strata Nova (New Street). Our rooms and services were developed for giving our guests the sense of being really welcome in the town of Scicli: Just take a freshly squeezed orange juice while enjoying the splendid view at San Matteo from our terrace, where the breakfast is served, and relax, later on, on the balconies with characteristic balustrades. At your arrival, we will provide you with useful and precious information about the Iblea Mountains and on request we will organise personalised bike or trekking excursions, which will make you, discover the splendid countryside landscapes or the various Baroque towns of the Val di Noto.
